THE
SITUATION WE FACE
- There
are now 1.9-MILLION AIDS-Orphans in Kenya - over a three-fold
increase, up from 600,000 since 2000 - plus those caused by Malaria,
Typhoid and road accidents.
- 700
Kenyans aged from 25 to 40 years DIE every day due to AIDS,
leaving 1,340 new Orphans daily. The average life expectancy of
Kenyans is now only 40 years, with only 5% of the population over
60. Retirement age is 40 years!
- TB
is an added peril, with 40 deaths every day
- There
is NO free Medical/Health Service in Kenya - you either have money,
or you suffer. Many are refused treatment and sent home because
they have no money and many die. If admitted, Orphans are
held prisoner in hospital because they have NO MONEY to pay hospital
bills, until the bill is paid.
- Many
Orphans are excluded from School because they have no money for
School fees, Text Books, uniform, etc.
- Without
YOUR help, these destitute Orphans will have no Education, Medicines
/ Hospital, Nutrition, Proper Clothes or shoes
DESPITE
