THE FOOD PROGRAMME

Many children, and certainly MOST ORPHANS, suffer from malnutrition - through either too-little food or wrong kinds of food - just starch and lacking protein, vitamins, minerals or fibre.

POOR NUTRITION LEADS TO SICKNESS (ESPECIALLY KWASHIORKOR IN SMALL CHILDREN), DISEASE, LETHARGY AND POOR LEARNING & RECALL.

Many orphans and deserted children come to Nursery School Hungry and cannot concentrate or learn unless/until we feed them which, often, we cannot do due to financial constraints. Support is needed to provide food to hungry little children.

Abundance Ministries has a FOOD PROGRAMME whereby local Orphans come into the Orphans-Care Centre to have a meal of meat, vegetables, fruit, bread and tea (and to ENJOY themselves in play) once per week. This, for many, is the only nutritious meal they will have. With many Orphans to feed, this expensive Project needs much MONEY.
